Coach help
Coach mode is for private-lesson ice: mark when you can teach, mark when a slot is taken, and share that list with skaters.
Switch to Coach
- Log in, then tap Coach at the top.
- The first time you open Coach, filters start off so you see the full board.
- Coach and Team coach are separate roles on the same login. Use Team coach for Practice / Game.
Available and Taken
- Tap a session to cycle grey → Available → Taken → grey.
- Available means you can take a skater on that ice. Skaters who have your code can see it and may claim it if you allow claims.
- Taken is your mark that the slot is used. Skaters do not see Taken rows. The name of the skater can show on your side.
- If the session is already Practice or Game from Team coach, that button stays locked here so you do not overwrite the team mark by accident.
Share with skaters
- Tap Share my availability for a short code (six characters). Copy it and send it to a skater or parent.
- Personal coach codes expire in about a week and are meant for one redemption.
- From Share you can also remove skaters one at a time.
- Check Skaters may claim sessions if you want them to lock an Available slot.
Long sessions
Sessions longer than about 40 minutes can be split (1 of 2, 1 of 3). Each part can be Available or Taken on its own. If a part is already claimed, the app will ask before you split.
Stars and email
- Star a session if you want email when the rink changes that ice (time, title, sheet) or takes it off the schedule.
- Available slots can also notify on schedule changes.
- No email after the session has started. Overnight changes batch around 6 AM.
My calendar in Coach
My calendar shows sessions you marked Available or Taken, plus anything you starred or noted. Split parts are not listed twice.
What Coach mode does not do
- Family connect is a Skater-side tool. Use Skater mode to link a household.
- Practice / Game labels belong to Team coach.
- There is no “delete my whole login” button on this bar. Share is how you drop one skater.
