Skater help
For skaters and parents who want to see ice, save a personal calendar, and get a few useful emails — not a flood of them.
Start here
- Open the schedule. Use Rink to pick Fuel Tank, Carmel, Pop Weaver, or All Rinks.
- Use Sheet when a building has more than one sheet.
- Tap session-type chips (Freestyle, Public Skate, Cosmic, and so on). Types that are on move to the left, still in A–Z order.
- If the list looks empty, tap Reset filters.
As a guest, filters stay on that phone or computer only. Log in to keep them and to use stars, notes, family, and email.
Create an account
- Register with first name, last name, email, and a password you will not mind losing. This is a free ice calendar, not a bank.
- After you log in, use the switch at the top: Skater, Coach, or Team coach.
My calendar
Tap My calendar (next to Connect Family). That view ignores type and time filters and shows sessions you care about:
- Sessions you starred
- Sessions with your notes (or a family member’s notes)
- Sessions you claimed from a coach
- Practice or Game that a team coach shared with you
Past sessions drop off once they have ended. Cancelled sessions also drop off after their original end time.
Stars and email
- Tap the star on a session if you want email when that session moves, changes, or is removed from the rink schedule.
- We do not email about sessions that have already started or already ended.
- Overnight changes (about 10 PM–5 AM Indianapolis) wait and go out around 6 AM as one note.
Watch Schedule
Watch is only for signed-in accounts. It is for “tell me if they add more Public / Cosmic / Freestyle,” not for every cancellation on the board.
- Tap Watch Schedule, then tap one to five types. There is no All types in this view.
- Tap Set watch to turn on emails for the next 14 days. The date shows next to the button (Watch through …).
- You can tap Set watch again the next day to slide the window forward another 14 days from today.
- When that date passes, emails stop until you Set watch again. Your type picks stay saved.
- Tap Turn off watch to stop Watch emails immediately. Your types stay saved.
- The first time a calendar day appears, you will not get a pile of “new session” emails.
- After that day is already on the site, a new session of a watched type can email you.
- A session being removed emails you only if you starred it.
- Each family member sets their own 14-day window.
- Next to a day in Watch Schedule, tap Ignore this day if you do not want Watch emails for that date. The mark stays on that calendar day. Past days drop off on their own.
- Schedule emails wait about an hour after the last change, then send one note. Overnight changes still wait until about 6 AM.
Family accounts
- Tap Connect Family. Create a one-time code or enter a partner’s code.
- While you are linked, you share stars, notes, claims, My calendar content, and Watch types. Filters stay personal.
- A purple star means a family member starred it. Hover or tap it: only they can remove that star.
- Either person can break the link. After that, each account is on its own again.
Notes
- Use the note button for pickup plans, a child’s name, or anything useful to your household.
- Your note sits on the session. Family notes show there too.
- If a team coach wrote a Practice/Game note, you will see it on the session. You can still add your own note underneath. Yours does not go back to the coach.
Coaches and claiming ice
- Tap Add a coach and enter their share code.
- You may see two chips for the same person: Coach — Name and Team Coach — Name. They are different roles.
- Tap a chip to see only what that coach shared. Available sessions can be claimed when the coach allows it.
- A claimed session stays in that coach’s list and shows Claimed — Coach — Name.
- You will not see a coach’s Taken sessions. Those are the coach’s own “I already have this ice” marks.
If something looks missing
- Turn off extra type chips, or tap Reset filters.
- Check that you are in Skater mode, not Coach.
- Grey rows are sessions that still belong on your list (Practice, Game, or claimed) but do not match the filters you have on.
